Quote Bible is built to be private by default. The app has no accounts, no servers of its own, and no advertising or analytics software of any kind. We do not collect your personal data — there is nothing on our side to collect it with.
Quote Bible ("the app") is developed and published by Luis Enrique, an independent developer ("we", "us"). You can reach us any time at us.summitllc@gmail.com.
| Data | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Your name and profile picture (optional) | Stored on your device. Synced through your own iCloud account if you are signed in. Never sent to us. |
| Favorite quotes and preferences | Stored on your device. |
| Photos | The app can add an image you create to your library. It never reads your library. |
| Usage analytics, identifiers, advertising data | Not collected. No SDKs, no trackers, no ads. |
| Contacts, location, microphone, camera, health | Never requested, never accessed. |
Everything the app remembers is kept locally on your iPhone or iPad, in the app's own storage and in a shared container that lets the widget read your settings:
Deleting the app removes all of this from your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, your profile name and picture may sync between your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so your setup follows you from iPhone to iPad. That data travels between your devices and Apple's servers under your Apple Account. We have no access to it and no ability to read it. Apple's handling of it is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. Signing out of iCloud, or turning iCloud Drive off for the app, stops this sync; the app continues to work entirely on-device.
When you save a quote image, iOS asks for permission to add photos to your library. That is add-only access: the app writes the single image you asked it to write and cannot see, read, or list anything else in your library. You can decline, and you can change your mind later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. The rest of the app is unaffected.
Quote Bible can hand a quote image or link to another app you choose — Instagram Stories, Messages, Mail, or anything in the iOS share sheet. Nothing leaves your device until you tap a destination, and once it does, the receiving app's own privacy policy applies to it. We are not involved in that transfer and never see it.
The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymous statistics — downloads, crashes, and similar — that cannot identify you individually. If you buy anything from Apple, Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Quote Bible is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Because the app collects no data at all, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request the deletion of beyond removing the app from the device. If you have a concern, write to us at us.summitllc@gmail.com.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe, UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data a company holds about you, and to opt out of its sale. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to look up, hand over, or delete. You remain in complete control of the information on your device: edit or clear your profile inside the app, and delete the app to remove everything. If you would like written confirmation of any of this for your records, just ask.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. The data on your device is protected by iOS itself — the app sandbox, your passcode, and device encryption. Keeping your device updated and passcode-protected is the most effective protection for it.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
